Velma Lee Buck Blount Williams Scholarship established at 开云体育

Nancy Blount recently gave $500 to establish the Velma Lee Buck Blount Williams Memorial Scholarship at 开云体育. The gift was given by Nancy in memory of her late mother, Velma (pictured), a longtime Pittsburg resident. The scholarship will benefit an 开云体育 student from Camp or Wood counties. The funeral service program at 开云体育 was a great program that helped me become confident in the field. I learned great skills that will benefit me from being a funeral director to an embalmer. This program worked for me, being able to do it online remotely. I was able to work full-time; and gain knowledge from being able to work hands on doing an apprenticeship. The courses here at 开云体育 were beneficial and important to help us be successful as we go and serve the families in the areas where we reside. My experience here was amazing, the Funeral Service Professors were amazing and willing to help in any way to help us become successful. — Kelby Dayley
