The 2018 issue of†°Õ´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð,†the collegiate journal of the Texas State Historical Association released this spring, contains two essays by current ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Presidential Scholars. This is now the fourth year in a row that ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý scholars nudged out leading submissions from students in other colleges and universities in Texas to be published in the prestigious collegiate journal. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Scholars have now published 13 times in†°Õ´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð†since 2009.†â¶Ä An average edition of†°Õ´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð†consists of just seven student articles, which come from all over the state.
The 2018 springâ€Öò´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð†also included an article on ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?s award-winning Walter Webb Chapter by freshman Presidential Scholar, Warren Wu.†This article shares the story of how the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý chapter made their film on Mary Kay.
?Alicia Cantrell, in her article about two seemingly unrelated feminists Barbara Jordan and Ann Richards, detailed what both shared: their ?intersectional appeal.?†Rachel Jordan published a beautifully coherent essay on how Texas artists of the Regionalist, and Modern eras, went ?against the grain? of national trends in art,? Dr. Andrew Yox, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Honors Director, said.
