The �������� Foundation is pleased to announce that eight �������� employees have been awarded funds through the 2023 Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant. The Foundation received 16 outstanding applications. A total of $13,039.99 was awarded through the grant or by additional private donors.

The Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant was established by James & Elizabeth Whatley specifically to fund special projects and enhance educational opportunities that fall outside the institution’s regular budget.  Each year, �������� full-time employees may apply for the available funding. Projects are reviewed and selected by the volunteer members of the Whatley Employee Enhancement Committee.

“Each year we are impressed with the quality of applications we receive for the Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant,” Nita May, �������� Director of Development, said. “We look forward to seeing these projects come to fruition over the coming year.”

This year’s Whatley Employee Enhancement recipients are:

• Heather Hughes, Communities in Schools – CAPPED@�������� - $2,200
• Doug Richey, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering – Engineering Round Table Project - $2,000
• Savannah Toews, Funeral Science – Hands-On Trauma Repair Cadaver Lab Workshop - $3,000
• Carol Vandiver, Adult Education & Literacy (AEL) Program – Career Exploration and Connections: My Career, My Future - $1,400
