The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $50,000 check from the Burt and Nancy Marans Estate. This gift will contribute to The Campaign for the Whatley. It will be used to help fund the renovation of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý recently received a JET (Job and Education for Texans) 5 grant from the Texas State Comptroller's Office for $202,785. These funds will††will allow ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý to purchase software for its†health programs, computers for each of its 12 dental hygiene operatories, new digital x-ray equipment, electronic dental record software, intraoral cameras and a panoramic digital x-ray system†. Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Vice President for Advancement, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý (¿ªÔÆÌåÓý), is pictured receiving a $12,000 check from Ms. Dana Durman, Program Officer, East Texas Communities Foundation (ETCF).† The funds were made available to the College by the ETCF through a planned gift from the estate of the late Burt and Nancy Marans, formerly of Pittsburg, Texas.† The gift was designated to be used to assist non-traditional students with their tuition and fees in the spring semester at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý.† For more information on this or other scholarship opportunities please contact Dr.

Bill Price of Mount Pleasant recently committed $5,000 to benefit the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý†Campaign for the Whatley. His donation will be used to help renovate the 20-year-old Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years. Pat Wommack of Lone Star recently gave $1,000 to benefit the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý†Campaign for the Whatley. This gift was made in honor of Mrs. Wommack's daughter-in-law, Kim Wommack, who is a Professor of Art and Division Director for Creative and Performing Arts at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years to help update the aging performing arts facility. Guaranty Bond Bank recently gave $3,000 to ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý to underwrite the Tuesday, Dec. 13 Cherish the Ladies Christmas concert at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The Flight of the Phoenix Aviation Museum in Gilmer recently donated $1,000 to benefit the Auto Body portion of the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology program at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý.
