Three �������� Biology 2389 students, Gracie Gray, Isabel Tresidder, and Stephanie Hernandez, and Dr. Chris T. McAllister, Biology, traveled to the Ouachita Mountains Biological Station (OMBS), Big Fork, Arkansas, March 21-23, 2025, to continue their research on fish parasites from the Ouachita River watershed.  What they believe to be a new species of myxosporean was discovered on the gills of a northern hogsucker fish, and another on the fin of a green sunfish.

The �������� Foundation recently learned that it will receive a matching grant for up to $48,000 from the Texas Pioneer Foundation. The money will be designated to provide matching funds for gifts to the Work4College program during East Texas Giving Day. Alpha Mu Chi, ��������’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa set a new chapter record at the recent Texas Regional Convention held in Houston, coming away with 37 awards. “With a strong officer team and an amazing set of co-advisors this year, I knew that we would do well,“ said lead advisor Dr. Melissa Fulgham. “However, they exceeded even my high hopes and expectations and set a new chapter record.

The Cosmetology Program at �������� (��������) is now accepting applications for its brand-new Manicurist Program, set to launch in the Fall 2025 semester.

The �������� (��������) Foundation has extended the deadline for its scholarship applications, giving students additional time to apply. Students now have until March 31, 2025, to submit their applications for financial assistance in the upcoming fall semester.

�������� (��������) is now accepting registrations for its annual Kids Discovery College, set to take place July 7-17. This engaging summer program offers children an opportunity to explore, create, and learn through a variety of hands-on classes.
