The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Adult Education Program is offering a free Computer Literacy virtual class beginning July 21. The course, which will be held fully online, will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 21 to August 13 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
In the first issue of the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý honors newsletter, Alacrity, in the spring of 2008, her image appeared four times. Along with Zachary Richardson, she was the first ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý student to present at the National Collegiate Honors Council. She was the first honors student to win an REU summer fellowship, and the first to present at a professional association—the American Chemical Society, which she attended along with Drs. Jim and Paula Archer in March of 2009.
Steve and Weida Borkowski recently presented the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation with a $1,000 scholarship. The funds will provide a Work4College scholarship to support Lynda Cruzgoo, a sophomore student in ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý's Carroll Shelby Automotive Program.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $2,000 donation from the family of Maria Souza. The gift established the Maria Souza Hope Memorial Scholarship and will provide two $1,000 scholarships for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý students who are participants or graduates of Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý is proud to announce the Social Work Information Session for current and future students. Information will be provided regarding Registration, Financial Aid, First-Year and Second-Year Experience, and information regarding a Social Work degree.
2018 Mount Pleasant Salutatorian, Verania Leyva Garcia, has concluded her two-year stay at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý with a decision to transfer to the University of Texas at Austin in the fall, and a resolve to advance further in biomedical studies. She will be receiving a full-tuition scholarship.
The Eagle Food Pantry will be open Thursday, June 25th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for curbside care package pickup located at Wesley Fellowship Center. We only fill orders for students who email us at ​CARE@ntcc.edu ​from their student email. No emails will be answered if they are not sent to the CARE@ntcc.edu email. If you are a dual student, please let us know when you contact us. Once you email us, we will give you a time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to pick up your care package. All food orders will need to be on Wednesday, June 24th no later then 8pm.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received $10,000 from the Trellis Foundation for emergency-related needs. The funds have been used to provide resources to ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý students adversely affected by recent events. The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Work4College program is back in action for summer 2020. Starting June 8, a total of 79 students began participating in the unique 10-week program.
From manning the campus wellness check-in station to painting dorm rooms and working on the farm, these students are providing essential services to the campus – all while earning money and saving for college!
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will offer on-campus classes for the Fall 2020 semester. The College is currently working to implement a plan that will allow for traditional face-to-face learning opportunities while still practicing social distancing and other measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. We will announce full details when they become available. Additionally, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will continue to offer a full slate of online courses for those who prefer learning in that environment.
