The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region will have the third rodeo of the 2023-2024 season in Mount Pleasant, Texas October 20th and 21st. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý (¿ªÔÆÌåÓý) will be the host of the Rodeo held at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena located on Greenhill Road in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý welcomes Rebecca Pelley McWatters as the exhibiting artist for October. Her artwork is currently on display and will continue until Thursday, October 26th. A reception will be held on Thursday, October 26th, at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. "Paint Life Boldly" is Rebecca's approach to living the arts.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Baseball team took time out of their week to visit Harts Bluff school this Wednesday to assist with the morning drop off. Players had a great time assisting the staff and greeting students.
Texas A&M University-Texarkana is hosting a Preview Day for prospective students on Thursday, Oct. 19th. This is a great opportunity for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý students to learn more about academics/majors, paying for college, campus and residence life and student experiences. There will also be information for parents/guardians.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Rodeo team will be hosting the third NIRA Southern Region Rodeo of the season on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st. Each night at 7:30pm we will have a calf dressing and costume contest. No cost to enter and each three-man team will compete for gift cards and a ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Rodeo Apparel for the Calf Dressing and Costume Contest.
