Yadira Muñoz, Admissions Counselor for Texas A&M University-Commerce, is coming to ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý on Tuesday, June 14. She will be in the Career and Transfer Center in BT 111 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Muñoz will assist students with their applications and answer questions about transferring to A&M-Commerce.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Athletics partnered with the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association to provide Sports Medicine Coverage for the 58th Annual MPRA Rodeo held June 1-4, 2022 in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý library was one of 77 libraries nationwide to be awarded an emergency relief grant from The American Library Association (ALA). The fund is providing $1.55 million in emergency relief grants to libraries that have experienced substantial economic hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic. Through the ALA COVID Library Relief Fund, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will be awarded $20,000 to support library services and operations.

Three ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý history students emerged on top in the 2021 Bonnie Spencer competition, for the best student essays in history. Essays could have been entered from any history course from any history instructor, full-time or part-time, on campus or off, such as with embedded dual history classes.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Career and Transfer Center will host two opportunities for students to meet with university representatives next week. UT Tyler Admissions Coordinator, Annie Garcia, will be on campus June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career and Transfer Center in BT 111B. Texas A&M University Texarkana at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Admissions Counselor, Jennifer Perez, will be in the same location from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 8.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program. The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Adult Education Department will be offering a free Basic Computer Literacy class. If you know anyone who might be interested in this service, please have them call 903.434.8341 to make an appointment to register. Registration is May 31-June 6, 2022 and classes will run June 7-30.

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Continuing Education and Corporate Training program will host a free Senior Adult Legal Workshop on Friday, Jun 17 in the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Community Room (Humanities building) from 9 a.m. to noon.
The program is designed for individuals 55 and older, or anyone who wants to learn more about estate planning, wills and advanced directives. The speaker will be Wyatt Hinson, Attorney at Law. Free snacks and coffee will be served.
