Eagles softball to host open tryout
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles Softball program will host an open tryout and evaluation day on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý softball field. The event is open to girls who will graduate from high school in 2013 or 2014. This evaluation will give athletes a chance to showcase their skills in hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, catching, and pitching. All athletes should plan to bring a glove, bat, batting helmet, and cleats. Catchers will need to bring their own personal catching gear.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Welder's Association to hold trailer drawing
†††The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Welder's Association will hold a drawing for a 16' tandem axle angle top trailer on February 7. 2013. This trailer was built by ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý students and materials were donated by local businesses. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Contact Marcos Sanchez at 903-767-6537 or stop by the welding shop to purchase chances.
†††McKelvey Enterprises donated hardware, Top Hat Trailers gave metal, and McCoy's provided lumber†for the construction of the trailer.
Boston travel study trip planned
†††¿ªÔÆÌåÓý (¿ªÔÆÌåÓý) is planning a travel-study course to Boston. The trip will take place next year from May 25-29. This opportunity is available to students who wish to receive college credit, as well as community members who would just like to participate in a fun, cultural experience.
†††An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 12:15 p.m. in Room 107 in the Humanities building.

The Office of Student Activities,†Student Government Association†and Students In Free Enterprise†is sponsoring a campus wide food drive November†5-December 13, 2012.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý to host Veteran's Day event
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý (¿ªÔÆÌåÓý) will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 12 on the plaza of the main campus. This will include a public event from 11 a.m. to noon. Veterans and their families are invited to stay after from noon to one for a special appreciation luncheon. Guaranty Bond Bank sponsors The Cast of Beatlemania
Guaranty Bond Bank recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming performance of The Cast of Beatlemania at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. Culinary arts to host buffet nights
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Culinary Arts Program will host three special Buffet Nights during the month of November. These will be held †at the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Culinary Institute in historic downtown Pittsburg and are open to the public.
Dinners will be held†from 6-8 p.m.†on November 8, 15 and 29. Seating is restaurant-style and to-go orders will be available as quantities allow. The cost is $10 per person.
Annual ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý College Night set for November 28
The Annual College Night, sponsored by ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý, is†set for Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Student Union Building (SUB) at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý.
Colleges and universities will have representatives on hand from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. to provide admissions and financial aid information to high school†students and their parents. All students from ninth to twelfth grade and ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý students are invited to attend.
In addition having the chance to speak with ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý advisors, students can meet recruiters from many major universities.
