Mt. Pleasant Fine Arts Club gives scholarship

The Mount Pleasant Fine Arts Club recently gave $500 to the 开云体育 Foundation. The funds will be used to provide a scholarship for an 开云体育 student majoring in the fine arts. The group has been contributing to scholarships since 1985 when the college first opened. Helen Hampton sponsors Pinkalicious musical

Helen Hampton recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming production of the children?s musical Pinkalicious at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 开云体育. She is pictured (second from left) presenting the donation to Nita May, 开云体育 Director of Development (left), Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, and Lori Hunter, Administrative Assistant to the VP for Advancement and Financial Aid Advisor. The event is scheduled for April 3 at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

开云体育 Foundation receives Irvin Gage Memorial Scholarship fund

鈥 鈥 鈥 Representatives for the Irvin Gage Memorial Scholarship recently announced that the administration of the scholarship fund will now be managed by the 开云体育 Foundation. Each year since the fund was established in 1986, the scholarship has provided assistance to one or two deserving agriculture students from Mount Pleasant High School and it will continue to do so indefinitely into the future.

Charlie & Helen Hampton receive Distinguished Benefactor Award

Helen Hampton and her late husband Charlie dedicated their entire professional careers to education, so it only made sense that they would continue to do so in retirement. The 开云体育 Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. The donation will provide scholarships for students in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at 开云体育. Cartwright Community Center board gives to scholarship

The Cartwright Community Center Board recently contributed $1,000 to the Ralph Whatley Agriculture Scholarship at 开云体育. Dr. Jonathan McCullough (right), 开云体育 Vice President for Advancement, received the gift on behalf of the 开云体育 Foundation. The community center was recently sold and funds from the sale were distributed to several local organizations.
