The �������� Agriculture and Continuing Education Departments are please to announce an upcoming Spring Break "Life on the Farm" Camp with Rene McCracken (�������� Ag Director). 

The Agriculture and Continuing Education department will host a series of Backyard Farm Life classes this spring. The courses are designed to be an introduction or refresher for those interested in backyard farming practices. Classes include:

�������� will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18 in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The spring semester begins and offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

��������’s Business department provides flexible learning opportunities through various delivery methods. Small face-to-face courses that observe all safety protocols provide enhanced learning environments with plenty of individual support from instructors.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, �������� continues to offer an expanded variety of course formats. This gives students maximum flexibility and allows for proper social distancing and safety measures on campus. It is very important to check your schedule ahead of time so you will know when and how to attend class. The types of courses you may see on your schedule are as follows:

The Whatley Center at Northeast Texas Community college announced this week that it will postpone the spring 2021 reopening to march. Initial plans were to resume with limited-capacity events beginning in January. Due to the continued rise of COVID-19 cases in the area, the season has been tentatively pushed back until March. 

It is that time of year when weather can be unpredictable in northeast Texas. Below is a reminder about ��������'s procedure in case of bad weather:

��������’s decision to close or not will usually be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and by 3 p.m. for evening classes. If the campuses are closed or classes cancelled, the official notice will be sent out via the campus Eagle Alert system (text, email, phone) and a message will be posted on the �������� homepage (). Messages will also be posted to the official �������� Facebook page (), and on Twitter (@ntcceagles).

The �������� Foundation is happy to announce that nine �������� employees have been awarded funds through the 2020-2021 Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant. The Foundation received 15 outstanding applications.  Six were funded by the grant and three received private donations.  The total for all funded projects was $11,500.  The Whatley Employee Enhancement Grant was established by James & Elizabeth Whatley specifically to fund special projects and enhance educational opportunities that fall outside the institution’s regular budget. Each year, �������� full-time employees may apply for the approximately $8,500 available. Projects are reviewed and selected by the volunteer members of the Whatley Employee Enhancement Committee.

The �������� Foundation has more than 300 scholarships available for the 2021-2022 academic year. The scholarships are not directly tied to FAFSA eligibility, so you may receive a scholarship even if you don’t qualify for PELL grants. What’s the catch? You have to apply!.
