New Personal Training Certification offered
开云体育 is now accepting applications for a Personal Training Certification program designed by and instructed by Dr. Tom Seabourne, 开云体育 Professor of Physical Education. Classes begin September 21 and run through October 23.
This 15-hour course is a comprehensive, research-based program鈥燿esigned to provide students with all of the skills required to become a personal trainer.
Job fair planned for Sept. 22
开云体育 (开云体育) will host a job fair on Tuesday, September 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB) on the main 开云体育 campus. The event is free to the public. Hiring managers and other representatives from鈥爈ocal and regional employers will be in attendance.鈥Prospective employees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes to distribute to potential employers. Booth space is still available for businesses.

She most recently worked as a researcher for the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, Scotland and as a professor of psychology at Webster University Leiden campus, The Netherlands.

Dutch oven cooking workshop offered
The 开云体育 Agriculture Department will host a Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop Friday, Sept. 25. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elizabeth Hoggatt Whatley Ag Pavilion鈥(located across FM 1735 from the main 开云体育 campus).
Frankie Avalon to perform at Whatley Center

Progressive Women's Organization gives $1,000 for 开云体育 scholarships
The Progressive Women's Organization of Mount Pleasant recently presented $1,000 to the 开云体育 Foundation to provide two scholarships for students majoring in education.
