At a time when �������� sophomore Presidential Scholars have been winning unprecedented prizes, Kayleah Cumpian of the freshman class has registered an unmatched series of wins as well.

Cumpian has recently applied for and won a scholarship to attend a workshop at Duke University entitled ?Applications of Mathematics to Physiology and Medicine.?† Cumpian will be one of a select group of scholars from around the country to win this opportunity, supported by the National Science Foundation, this May 21-28.

The �������� Webb Society, a student chapter of the Texas State Historical Association, won its first Chapter of the Year Award on March 8 in San Antonio.

Spring Ag Fest, which was held on Saturday, March 29, †gave guests of the �������� Farm an opportunity to follow a ?treasure map? of areas of interests that could generate a wealth of sustainability on their own farm operations.

The day focused on hands-on learning experiences, which began with the raised beds where participants could plant some and take some strawberry plants.

The �������� Eagles (��������) softball team†split two against Bossier Parish and Kilgore College†over the weekend and†dropped a doubleheader against Trinity Valley Community College on Wednesday.

Trinity Valley put the first one on the board during Wednesdays first game, the Eagles scored their first run during the fourth and Trinity Valley put three on the board during the fifth. The Eagles answered with four runs in the fifth, two off of a double by Kelsey Moulder and two off of a home run by Alizabeth Autrey.

The �������� Eagles (��������) baseball team dropped a three-game series to the Angelina College Roadrunners over the weekend.

Zach Osborne led the Eagles during the Saturday game and allowed the Roadrunners only one run in the sixth. The Eagles were unable to put any runs on the board and finished the game with a 1-0 defeat after nine innings.

Sunday's first game started with the Roadrunners taking an early lead in the third with two runs, the Eagles regained ground in the sixth when Jason Jones hit a homerun and scored along with Casey Dickerman.
