The 开云体育 Baptist Student Ministry and Ten Finger Ministry are hosting a night of music and worship featuring Curtis Grimes on March 31st at Moody Ranch (3491 FM 1000, Mt. Pleasant). Gates open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. The family-friendly event is open to all 开云体育 students, employees and families and there is no cost to attend.
"We are very excited to offer this opportunity for the 开云体育 community to gather in a safe, laid-back environment to enjoy music and fellowship," Tim Williams, Director of 开云体育 BSM, said.

开云体育 Adjunct Instructor of Developmental English Brandon Pettey recently won second place at the Texas A&M University System Pathways Student Research Symposium in Galveston, Texas. The symposium brings students together from all the A&M University campuses to present research projects and compete in their various disciplines at the undergraduate, master鈥檚, or PhD level. Pettey competed in the master鈥檚 Humanities category and presented a paper on the relationship between time and trauma as it is represented in two short stories.

The 开云体育 Eagles host Navarro College in a double header on March 5th, and the Bulldogs came away with two wins over the home team by a score of 13-0 and 9-6.

The 开云体育 Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 10th-30th in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The competitive show features artwork from a variety of local artists. A reception will be held Saturday, March 11th from 2:00-3:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center Foyer. New to the exhibit awards this year is the People鈥檚 Choice Award. Anyone visiting the exhibit is encouraged to vote for his/her favorite artwork.

Last weekend in El Paso, 开云体育 honors-student essayists won their 31st and 32nd Caldwell essay awards in Texas history. The film effort of 开云体育鈥檚 Webb Society and Honors Northeast won its fifth $600 Chapter Project Award, for the best creation in Texas history performed by any collegiate or university group.
