The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý BioChem Club recently had the opportunity to tour a Level 1 Trauma Center in Fort Worth to get exposure to careers in the emergency medical field.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host a resume writing/building and interviewing skills workshop Thursday, April 25 from 12:25-1:25 p.m. in the Humanities Community Room.
Theatre Northeast, the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý student theatre group, will present a showcase of dramatic readings, monologues and three short plays April 25-27 at 7:30 p.m. and April 28 at 2:05 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles baseball team (13-23, 7-14) continued a three-game series against Panola College (29-11, 14-7) Friday with a doubleheader at home. Fresh off a win at Panola on Thursday, the Eagles managed to split the for the day, winning game two 9-3 and dropping game three 12-11.

Jordan Martinez followed his seven for eight performance at the plate in the last two outings with a dominate showing on the mound on Thursday for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý baseball (12-22, 6-13). He allowed only two hits and zero runs while striking out five to beat Panola College (28-10, 13-6) by a score of 10-0.
Alpha Mu Chi, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý’s chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, successfully campaigned for the Texas Region District III Vice-President position at the regional convention earlier this spring. After the chapter won the position, Jacob Lambie was chosen to represent the chapter as Vice President.
Students and faculty from the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Agriculture Department recently attended the Texas Junior College Agriculture Association (TJCAA) conference at Texas A&M University College Station. In addition to attending a variety of sessions on trending agriculture topics, students also competed in competitions against other community college students from across the state.
For the fourth year, history at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will feature the Bonnie Spencer Awards for the best two research papers in non-honors classes. The first-place winner will receive $100, and the second place, $50. There will be an optional Honorable Mention Prize.
