¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Baseball hosted Paris Junior College for the first home conference games of the 2023 season and each team came away with a win in the series. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý won game one 7-2 before falling to Paris in game two 8-3. Game one’s victory was led by a great pitching performance by Kevin Schoneboom (Mansfield, Texas) who pitched a complete game giving up just two runs on five hits in seven innings on the mound. Schoneboom would strike out three PJC Dragons, and induced Paris into seven ground outs and 10 pop flies to keep the PJC offense grounded.

Wet field conditions pushed the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý matchup with National Park College to Sunday, February 26th, and the Eagles used that extra day to prepare and came away with a sweep. Game one saw ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý defeat the Nighthawks 6-0 and win a back and forth contest in game two 11-10. Braylynn Henderson (West Columbia, Texas) got the start in the circle in game one and went the complete game for the Eagles. Henderson struck out six and induced nine fly outs in the game to keep the Nighthawks off the board in game one.
February 22nd the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles head down to Tyler, Texas to open of Conference play for the 2023 season with the TJC Apaches. TJC would take game one, but it took extra innings to do so, winning 3-2 in eleven innings. Game two would go the Eagles way with a 9-2 win over the Apaches. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý got on the board first in the top of the first in game one, when Raef Wright (Burleson, Texas) led off the game with a single and scored when Seth Cox (Fairview, Texas) doubled to left.

The Region 8 Virtual Science Fair was held on Monday, February 20th, at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. A total of 216 student projects were submitted to compete including submissions from twenty-five Region 8 school districts. Each school district is allowed to enter four students per grade level. Students have the choice of entering one of three categories.
Did you know that thousands of patients with blood cancers could be cured with a blood stem cell or marrow donation from a genetically matched donor? The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Nursing program wants to help increase the odds of these patients finding a match by hosting a National Marrow Donor Program "Be The Match" event on Wednesday, March 8th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building.
The application deadline for an optimal scholarship of Honors Northeast for the 2023-2024 school year is 1 March. A student may apply directly through the application portal of the honors website or email-scan an application obtained from a local guidance counselor to ayox@ntcc.edu. Since 2010, the scholars of Honors Northeast have won 58 national awards, including eleven exclusive Jack-Kent-Cooke-foundation, full-ride $150,000 transfers.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý hosted the Howard College Hawks February 18-19 in a three-game series. Howard College won games one and two, 6-5 and 8-0, but ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý bounced back in game three to win 8-4. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Head Coach Andy Morgan and Howard College Head Coach Jake Carlson were high school teammates back in Kansas growing up and set up a good match between the schools.
