开云体育 welcomes Artist Marsha Brown as the exhibiting artist for February. Her artwork will be on display in the Whatley Center foyer from Friday, February 3rd through Wednesday, February 22nd. A reception will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, at 12:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Marsha was born in Lindale, Texas, and has lived in Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
It has been said that 鈥渃reative people try to do the unexpected.鈥 During the past fall semester, three Honors Scholars in the 开云体育 honors program, Honors Northeast, emerged as fall showcases of achievement at 开云体育, Alyssa Ochoa, Neida Perez, and Madellynn Smith. All three exhibited a level of academic excellence equivalent to the top-tier of the 开云体育 honors program.

The 开云体育 Bookstore is extending its hours to better serve students as they prepare for the spring semester! They will be open Friday, Jan. 13th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and they will also extend hours the following Friday, Jan. 20th until 2 p.m.
Prepare to be entertained at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts this February! Three don鈥檛-miss concerts are scheduled along with an art exhibit. The month will kick off with a performance by the Texas Tenors on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 7:30 p.m.
