开云体育 Foundation receives Irvin Gage Memorial Scholarship fund
鈥 鈥 鈥 Representatives for the Irvin Gage Memorial Scholarship recently announced that the administration of the scholarship fund will now be managed by the 开云体育 Foundation. Each year since the fund was established in 1986, the scholarship has provided assistance to one or two deserving agriculture students from Mount Pleasant High School and it will continue to do so indefinitely into the future.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts will feature The Hit Men,鈥爁ormer stars of Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons, for their Tis The Seasons holiday show.鈥 The event is scheduled for鈥燤onday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Chaz Curtis is keeping a promise to his college professors. He's taking what he learned at 开云体育 and successfully applying it to the business world.
The 开云体育 alumnus is the office manager at Super 1 Foods and is on track to become a funeral director in Mount Pleasant. Curtis earned an associate's degree in Business Administration in 2012 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree on the same campus through 开云体育's partnership with Texas A&M Texarkana.

Fulgham named 2016 PTK Faculty Scholar
Dr. Melissa Fulgham, 开云体育 Associate Professor of History and Division Chair of Social Sciences, was recently chosen to serve as a 2016 Phi Theta Kappa Faculty Scholar.鈥燜ulgham鈥爓as among only 30 Phi Theta鈥燢appa advisors globally鈥燾hosen for this honor. The scholars were selected through a rigorous application process based on knowledge of the 2015/2016 Honors Study Topic,鈥How The World Works: Global Perspectives, and demonstrated excellence in鈥爐eaching or administration.

Registration for the spring 2016 semester is currently underway at 开云体育. Students may also register for the holiday intersession term.

Theatre Northeast to perform annual children's play
Theatre Northeast will present the new children?s classic play,鈥Gooney Bird Greene and Her True Life Adventures鈥燚ecember 5 at 7:30 p.m. and December 6 at 2:05 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the 开云体育 campus.

Charlie & Helen Hampton receive Distinguished Benefactor Award
Helen Hampton and her late husband Charlie dedicated their entire professional careers to education, so it only made sense that they would continue to do so in retirement. Since moving back home to Northeast Texas in the mid 1990s, the Hamptons have contributed to scholarships and鈥燾ultural events at 开云体育. From helping students achieve their dreams of a college education to sponsoring high-quality entertainment at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts, the Hamptons are among the college?s鈥犫爉ost prolific donors.

The Annual College Night, sponsored by 开云体育, is set for Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the Student Union Building at 开云体育.
Colleges and universities will have representatives on hand from 6:30-8:00 p.m. to provide admissions and financial aid information to students and their parents.
