Charlie and Helen Hampton give scholarship
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Helen Hampton (right) recently gave $500 to the 开云体育 Foundation. Their gift will provide a scholarship to a Morris County student attending 开云体育. Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery give $1,300 to support 开云体育 honors projects
Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery (pictured left) recently gave a $1,300 gift to the 开云体育 Foundation. The funds will be used for the 开云体育 Whatley Employee Enhancement Fund, specifically for the Honors program to help with their production of a film based on the life of Harriet Potter Ames, the Feminist Legend of the American Revolution, and with the Presidential Scholars Program for their research and documentation of the Caddo Collection owned by 开云体育.
开云体育 students participate in disaster training
鈥 鈥 鈥燬tudents and faculty members from the 开云体育 LVN Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, and Medical Assisting programs recently got hands-on, real world training as they participated in a disaster preparation exercise in Atlanta, Texas. The full-scale, 72-hour exercise was directed by Homeland Security and in conjunction with the ArkTex Council of Governments.
鈥 鈥 鈥燭he goal of the event was to give members of disaster teams, including first responders, a chance to find out how to function in a crisis situation.

Pepsi gives $15,000 to 开云体育
Pepsi recently made a $15,000 contribution to 开云体育. The funds were designated to benefit the 开云体育 Eagles Athletic program. Ms. Beth Thompson (right), 开云体育 Vice President for Administrative Services, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, 开云体育 Vice President for Advancement, received the gift on the college's behalf.

开云体育 Reindeer Run 5k scheduled for Dec. 7
The SIFE/Enactus Club of 开云体育 will host the Fourth Annual Reindeer 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 a.m. The run will be held on the 开云体育 campus and there is no entry fee for participants.
