Four former Honors students publish in state journal

The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $12,000 donation from the United States Tennis Association. Dr. Ron Clinton (left), ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý President, Jimmy Smith, Coordinator of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the check. The gift will be used to upgrade ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý’s tennis courts and provide scholarships for local youth to participate in the 2023 Kids Discovery College.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Foundation recently received a $42,039.06 donation from the estate of Earl Christian Williamson. Nita May (left), Director of Development, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, are pictured receiving the check. Williamson was a computer science faculty member at ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý from 1988 to 1998.
The ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Continuing Education Department is now accepting applications for the 2023 Firefighter Academy. Classes begin January 17th, 2023 and will be held at the Mount Pleasant Central Fire Station. The program meets on evenings during the week and on alternating Saturdays.
Be on the lookout for members of the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý Eagles Baseball and Softball teams if you happen to be out shopping in Mount Pleasant today (Friday, Dec. 2nd). Players will be ringing bells for the Salvation Army from 9 a.m. until the evening at Wal Mart, Super One and Mount Pleasant Brookshire's. We are proud of our student athletes for their commitment to serving the community!
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will host its December 2022 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 9th at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Graduation will be streamed live on and for those who are unable to attend in person.
The Work4College Program is a great way for you to attend ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý without acquiring debt and provide a hands-on learning experience through a department on campus. The application is available to fill out and submit online at . The deadline to apply is April 14, 2023.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 23rd through Friday, Nov. 25th for Thanksgiving. We hope everyone has a wonderful break spending time with friends and family.
